This page is an informative site to tell everyone about
a rare disease I have called RELAPSING POLYCHONDRITIS which
attacks and destroys cartilage in the body.
Relapsing Polychondritis is difficult to diagnose because
there is a marked interpatient variability. Everyone is
different where RP is concerned. For this reason, the
average time for an accurate diagnosis is 1 1/2 to 2 years.
Symptoms include, but are not limited to: Red, swollen,
painful ears, breathing difficulties, sores that develop
on the body, vision problems, hearing problems, joint pain
and heart problems.
Anywhere there is cartilage, RP can attack!
Like most autoimmune diseases, there is no cure, but there are
medicines that can help to control RP and in some instances,
put it into remission.
